Is Vyrkin really free?
The public beta includes local creation and watermark-free 1080p MP4 exports for YouTube, TikTok, Reels, Shorts, square, and feed. 4K, PNG Sequence, and Advanced Master MOV are Pro features arriving later.
Do my songs leave my computer?
No. Audio, cover art, rendered frames, and project files stay on your machine in the current desktop app. There is no upload step, no cloud render queue, and no forced account for local creation.
Why does Windows show a SmartScreen warning?
The Windows installer is unsigned in this first release. That warning is about installer reputation, not about your music or artwork leaving your device.
When is the Mac version coming?
macOS is part of the same desktop roadmap, not a separate product. Windows ships first. Mac is in development next.
What does FFmpeg do here?
Vyrkin uses FFmpeg locally to help create MP4 exports and future Advanced Master files. FFmpeg is an independent open-source multimedia project and is not affiliated with or endorsing Vyrkin Studio.
